Lymphatic Drainage Self Care Ritual

Did you know that your lymphatic system helps your body fight off infections? The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials. The primary function of the lymphatic system is to transport lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells, throughout the body.

Dry brushing and lymph massage is thought to help the body, rid toxins, reduce swelling, and improve circulation. One of my favorite self care rituals looks like this.

  1. I dry brush my entire body for about 10 minutes
  2. After that, I hop in a warm bath with some Dead Sea Salts, which are rich in therapeutic minerals such as magnesium, which can help reduce symptoms of a sluggish lymphatic system.
3)And lastly, I finish with a few drops of Renew Bath & Body oil, gently massaged on my lower abdomen. This oil contains some of my favorite detoxifying EOs, such as rosemary, patchouli, peppermint, and tea tree.
